Work and Education:
Dr. Crouch has taught graduate nursing at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing for 2 years. She specializes in nurse-midwifery, and has a research focus in health policy. Dr. Crouch works clinically in a large academic teaching hospital, where she provides intrapartum and obstetric triage care to high-risk populations. Prior to entering a teaching role, she forged a successful solo nurse-midwife practice in Northwest Arkansas, where she was the only nurse-midwife practicing in a hospital setting in the region. Her lectures are informed by this experience in practice development and providing midwifery care to vulnerable populations in maternity care deserts.

Committees:
Dr. Crouch has served as the President of the Arkansas Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives since 2018. She currently sits on the Arkansas Maternal Health Task Force, seeking to improve maternal health outcomes in the state. Dr. Crouch also participates in the Northwest Arkansas Breastfeeding Coalition, increasing knowledge and access to lactation support in the region.

Articles and Presentations:
In 2023, Dr. Crouch presented a poster at the American College of Nurse-Midwives Annual Meeting, titled, “The Potential Impact of Integration of Midwives on Maternal/Infant Health Care in Rural States.” She also presented at the Arkansas State Certified Professional Midwife Conference in 2023 on, “Shoulder Dystocia.” She is currently working towards publication in the area, “Adolescent Access to Contraception.” In addition to these works, Dr. Crouch guest lectures at the University of Arkansas Eleanor Mann School of Nursing, presents annual Grand Rounds presentations at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and serves as a reviewer for fellow authors seeking publication.

Community:
Dr. Crouch is engaged with her community in a number of ways. She is first and foremost mother to her children, dogs, cat, and chickens, and wife to her husband. In addition to keeping up with her family, Dr. Crouch serves on the Board of The Spark Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at increasing access to health and fitness education opportunities in the community. She leads community group training runs and participates in committee work for the organization.
