Work and Education:
Dr. Abraham is a Clinical Associate Professor and DNP-Family Nurse Practitioner Track Coordinator at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON). Internationally revered for her nursing expertise, she uses a variety of strategies to teach her students in the classroom, online, lab, and clinical settings. Prior to her role at Baylor, she served as an Associate Clinical Professor at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas, and as Adjunct FNP Clinical faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. Her professional background includes numerous years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) throughout the DFW Metroplex in different areas, including primary care, retail health and pain management. She also works as a FNP for Walmart Health.
Committees:
She is the chair of the Missions Committee and serves on the following School of Nursing Committees at Baylor: Graduate Studies, Graduate Curriculum, Program Effectiveness DNP Project Committee. She also serves as a Faculty Advisor for the Nurses Christian Fellowship of Baylor University. She currently serves as an officer of the Sigma Theta Tau Eta Gamma Chapter.
Honors and Professional Organizations:
Dr. Abraham is distinguished in her field. In the year 2000, she received the Nurse of the Year Award from Baylor Center for Pain Management. She is also an active member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and North Texas Nurse Practitioners. She has served in various leadership roles on professional committees such as Doswell Informatics Conference Advisory Committee, Bloodborne Pathogen Committee, NP Curriculum Review Committee, Continuing Program Improvement Committee, as well as many others.
She is a member of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Breast and Cervical Cancer Services (BCCS) Clinical Workgroup, NONPF Annual Conference Planning Committee, and Texas Nurse Practitioners Nominating Committee.

Dr. Abraham contributes to both nursing publications and nursing associations. She has published and presented on subjects related to primary care and nursing education.

Giving back to the community, Dr. Abraham volunteers her time to help make a difference. She also served as a LHSON team mission leader for Bengaluru, India. She serves as a peer-reviewer for publications and presentations. Dr. Abraham is an active member of the Agape church and volunteers as a Sunday School teacher and youth ministry leader.
