Work Overview:
Dr. Andrea Archer is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Currently, she teaches pathophysiology and pharmacology. Her previous professional background in Davenport, Iowa includes: Associate Professor, Tenured, St Ambrose University; Nurse Practitioner, Rheumatology Care and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse, Genesis Medical Center. In addition, she served as an Adjunct Faculty member for Blackhawk College in Moline, Illinois.

Articles and Presentations:
Outside the classroom, Dr. Archer contributes to both nursing publications, providing continuing education opportunities for nursing educators and belonging to various nursing associations.

Professional Organizations:
Dr. Archer is revered for her leadership. She is involved in various professional organizations that include: National League of Nurses; Christian Nursing Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

Awards and Honors:
Recognized for her contributions to the nursing profession, Dr. Archer earned Tenure at St Ambrose University in 2016. She also received the Children of Illinois Veteran’s Scholarship in 2002 and was selected by students as Faculty “Pinner” in 2018 and 2017.

Community:
Giving back to the community is a priority for Dr. Archer. She is new to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and has enjoyed volunteer opportunities at the schools attended by her children. She has previously served in various roles in her home state of Iowa as a Board member for Ridgecrest Retirement Village and Nursing Home, St. Lucy’s Circle Meal Ministries; St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church; Flu Clinics; Quad Cities Expo Health Careers Fair; Kids for Christ; Bix Medical Tent; Boy Scout Troup 11 and Hopewell Elementary.
