Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP), Killeen ISD Coordinator for Health Services
Jasmine Mosley shares her experience as an Online DNP-FNP student below:
What was the biggest win during the program?
The DNP-FNP program expanded my discernment of healthcare-related research literature and the importance of local government and organization involvement, and I was able to complete the program on schedule while working full time and fulfilling my role as a wife, and mom of 1, and through a pregnancy and maternity leave. I cannot imagine any other comprehensive program facilitating my success.
How did Baylor prepare you for your current role?
It pushed me to expand my view of career possibilities by completing my clinic hours with a DNP-prepared nurse in a role differing from my employment at the time, which was Pediatric primary care.
What makes Baylor nurses unique in the healthcare world?
Baylor empowers faith-based nurses to find strength in evidence-based advocacy.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give a potential DNP student?
Never let fear of the climb up the mountain prevent you from enjoying the view from the victorious summit.
Was your degree worth your investment? Why?
Absolutely, it brought me enlightenment and growth in ways I didn't know possible.
