My name is Alejandra Carrasquillo. I am in the DNP-FNP program at Baylor University. 

The experiences that prepared me to become a DNP nurse are basically my foundation of nursing. I wanted to excel in my career the most that I could, and I still wanted to do patient care and DNP was the best way for me to do both things at the same time  

My overall experience in the DNP program has been phenomenal. When I email my success coaches, they're available. They might not always have the answers, but they will find the answers for you. Professors are always very quick to respond. I like the small class sizes, and for me, it's been a great choice  

The quality of this program has far met my expectations, really... The access to clinicals has been phenomenal. I think that's part of the reason why a lot of people actually come to Baylor, and that was ultimately what also drew me here 

The DNP program will impact my nursing career; I believe in the best way possible. It's allowed me to get to the highest peak of my career, and it will allow me to excel in top positions around the country, so I think that's extremely beneficial.  

Spirituality plays a big impact in my life; that's also one of the reasons that I chose to come to Baylor. I knew that it was a Christian-based university, and it offered me the opportunity to continue my faith in practice at the same time. 

The advice that I would give a potential student that would like to do a DNP program is to do their research. I think once they do that and they see what this university offers, and what Baylor brings to the table, they'll ultimately make the best decision in choosing Baylor.
