Work and Education:
Dr. Flood is a Clinical Assistant Professor and DNP-FNP Track Coordinator at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON). Specializing in Community Health, she teaches students through lecture, lab, and clinical settings in the DNP-FNP program. Prior to her role at Baylor, she served as an Adjunct FNP Clinical Faculty at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas. Her professional background includes several years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) focusing on community health, primary care, and addiction medicine. Her current clinical practice focuses on quality delivery of primary care services via telemedicine. Also, she provides volunteer medical services at the Kinwest Medical Clinic at Irving Bible Church.

Committees:
Outside of the classroom, Dr. Flood is active at the regional, state, national professional nursing organizations that include: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nurses, and Texas Nurse Practitioners. She currently also serves as Secretary for North Texas Nurse Practitioners. Within LHSON, she is on Graduate Studies Committee, DNP Curriculum committee, and DNP Testing Policy taskforce. Last, she is a co-leader for the LHSON Zambia mission.

Articles and Presentations:
Dr. Flood contributes to both local and state nursing associations. In 2018, she delivered a presentation entitled “High-Risk Breast Cancer Identification by the NCI-Gail Model Risk Assessment Tool in Well-Woman Exams” for the Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Society. In 2022, she delivered a podium presentation at NTNP Annual CME Conference, entitled “Telehealth Update: APRNs Advancing Post-Pandemic Access to Telehealth Services”. Last, she is an active contributor and speaker at the TNP Entry into Practice conference.

She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a recipient of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Professional Nursing Scholarship Recipient, Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society & an HRSA Traineeship Grant Recipient.

Community:
Finally, Tiffany Flood is involved in her local church and community. She is an active member at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, where she fondly serves the middle to high school aged youth. She also dedicates time to organizations that focus on nurturing children through culturally responsive initiatives in community after-school programs to increase the social mobility of minorities and people of color. After spending time with her brother, sister, father, and family dog (Jojo), she enjoys hiking, traveling, HIIT workouts, and restaurant diving with friends.
