Work and Education:
Dr. Marion Kopulos has taught nursing at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing for seven years. She specializes in pediatrics, teaching clinical at Children’s Health Children’s Medical Center in both the traditional and FastBacc programs. Her teaching is enhanced by her professional experience practicing pediatric nursing for 25 years at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Texas as well as the Plano campus.
Committees:
In the past three years Dr. Kopulos has served on the Undergraduate Academic Policy Committee and participated as an active member of the STEPP program interview committee. Currently she also participates in the URSA small grant reviews.
Articles and Presentations:
Outside the classroom, Dr. Kopulos contributes by publishing articles in nursing publications. In 2016, she was a coauthor of an article titled “Impact of Health Literacy Levels in Educating Pregnant Millennial Women,” published in the International Childbirth Education journal (Volume 31(3)). In 2017, she also coauthored, an article titled “Massive Transfusion Protocol Simulation: An Innovative Approach to Team Training,”published in the Critical Care Clinics of North America (Volume 29(2) p.259 – 269).
Community:
Finally, Marion Kopulos is involved in her local community as a member of the Salvation Army Local Disaster Relief Team. She is part of a group of volunteers who respond to local disasters to assist the first responders, by providing drinks, food, cooldown stations and a place to rest.
