Work and Education:
Professor Romines has taught nursing at Indiana University School of Nursing for over 7 years, teaching at Purdue University two years prior. Specializing in psychiatric and community nursing, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate students in clinical, lecture, and lab settings. Just prior to coming to Baylor, she was the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program Coordinator at Indiana University. Her lectures are informed by professional experience in psychiatric, community clinic, and primary care practice settings.

Committees:
In the past, Professor Romines has served on many Nursing School Committees in various academic settings. These include the Admission, Progression and Graduation Committees, Graduate Curriculum Development Committees, Community Outreach/Engagement Committees, and Undergraduate and Graduate Student Affairs Committees.

Articles and Presentations:
Outside the classroom, Professor Romines contributes to the development of the psychiatric nursing profession by presenting at American Psychiatric Nurses Association National Annual Conventions. These have included the following presentations: Nursing Student's Perceptions of the Effectiveness of the Various Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training Interventions, within a Baccalaureate Undergraduate Program at the APNA 34th Annual Conference; Developing Psychotherapy Skills at Any Stage of Your PMH-APN Career and Offer Your Diverse Patients More at the APNA 37th Annual Conference; and Harnessing the Power of Technology to Augment and Expand Your Therapeutic Impact: When Time in the Office Just is Not Enough at the APNA 38th Annual Conference. 

In addition, she was a Co-Presenter for Increasing Nursing Student Engagement with Community Partners and Members of the Interprofessional Team at the 2019 PNEG CLE conference in Cleveland Ohio. And, a contributing author for chapters on Assessing Family Processes & Issues and Communicating with Clients with Personal and Family Issues for the text: Medical-Surgical Nursing An Integrated Approach by White, Duncan & Baumle.

Community:
Finally, Linda Romines is involved in serving vulnerable populations in a rural Indiana setting by providing telehealth psychiatric care at Saint Martin’s Healthcare in Garrett, Indiana. Aside from spending time with her husband, two daughters, two sons, and two grandsons, she attends Saint Brigid of Kildare Church. She is passionate about providing education on Suicide Prevention and Awareness training. She has provided Suicide and Awareness trainings for HS/JH teachers and staff on the Pine Ridge Reservation. At Indiana University, she provides lectures on Mental Health Issues for ongoing cohorts of Family Nurse Practitioner students.
