Work and Education:
Dr. Jones has taught nursing at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing for 2 years. Specializing in Medical-Surgical theory and care, she teaches students through lecture, lab, and clinical settings. Her lectures are informed by many years of professional experience practicing critical care nursing and working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr. Jones also teaches in the online DNP program. 

Committees:
Dr. Jones is currently serving on the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. 

Articles and Presentations:
Outside the classroom, Dr. Jones contributes to both nursing knowledge and nursing associations. In 2018, she delivered a poster presentation called “Improving Opioid Prescribing Practices of Advanced Practice Providers” for Sigma Theta Tau Research day at both University of Arkansas and Baylor School of Nursing. She is also a member of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Community:
Finally, Jennifer Jones is involved in her local community. Aside from spending time with her daughter, she is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Forney. She recently traveled with a group from FBC Forney to the Czech Republic, where she assisted with teaching English as a second language.
