Work and Education:
Professor Jane Price has taught nursing at Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing for 14 years. She has completed her Doctor of Nurse Practice program with a Capstone project: Promoting Change Behaviors in Adults after the First Suicide Attempt. Specializing in mental health, she currently teaches clinical and theory in the FastBacc program and has taught an elective in Substance Abuse and worked in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at Methodist at Richardson Medical Center and at Texas Resources. She has also taught Leadership and Management, Maturing Family and the Role of the Nurse as a Group Leader.

Committees:
In the past, Professor Price has served on many nursing school committees. These include the Faculty Affairs Committee, Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, and Undergraduate Academic Policy Committee as a member. She has also served as chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee and Undergraduate Academic Policy Committee.

Articles and Presentations:
Outside the classroom, Professor Price has presented continuing education programs in mental health in both Romania and Vietnam, coordinated the TPAPN program, preceptor program, and facilitated many Quality Improvement Initiatives at Baylor University Medical Center. She currently is a member of the District 4, TNA and ANA, and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Beta chapter in 1993. She has also served in leadership positions in the Association for Practitioners in Infection Control and in the Employee Health Association.

Community:
Additionally, Professor Price is involved in her local community. She has been active in her church’s mission committee, coordinated student mission trips to Cary, Mississippi, and is very active in supporting various healthcare related 5K events.
