Dr. Elizabeth Perry Caldwell is a Tenured Associate Professor at Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Dr. Perry Caldwell’s primary research interest focuses on health literacy of adolescents. Specific areas of research interest are:
- Facilitators and barriers to adolescent health literacy
- Health seeking behaviors of adolescents
- Health literacy in adolescents with Sickle Cell Disease
- Health literacy in adolescents with chronic illness
- The role of social determinants of health on adolescent health literacy

Teaching:
Dr. Perry Caldwell joined the nursing faculty at LHSON in 2015. Previously, Dr. Perry Caldwell held teaching positions at The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Memphis. Dr. Perry Caldwell teaches the course The Childrearing Family at LHSON. With almost 20 years of pediatric nursing experience, Dr. Perry Caldwell has a passion for teaching undergraduate students about pediatric nursing.
