Work and Education:
Dr. Duvall-Ingram is a Clinical Assistant Professor and FastBacc® Coordinator at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. After working in private school finance for several years, Dr. Duvall-Ingram graduated from the FastBacc program at LHSON in 2012 with her BSN. She worked as an operating room nurse before completing her DNP/FNP at Baylor in 2017. Dr. Duvall-Ingram has a passion for the underserved, and currently sees patients weekly at a refugee clinic in Dallas, Texas.
Prior to joining the full-time Baylor faculty in 2020, Dr. Duvall-Ingram worked in education technology specializing in NCLEX preparation and item writing while also working as part-time lecturer at LHSON. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, National League for Nursing, American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Texas Nurse Practitioners.
Committees:
Dr. Duvall-Ingram is currently serving on the Committee on Committees, Undergraduate Curriculum, Undergraduate Academic Policies, Program Effectiveness and Graduate Studies committees. She is also currently a senator from LHSON to the Baylor Faculty Senate. Dr. Duvall-Ingram was chair of the LHSON Faculty Organization for 2022-2023.
Articles and Presentations:
Dr. Duvall-Ingram is currently participating in a HRSA-funded research study focused on strengthening public health nursing and interprofessional competencies in prelicensure students through emerging technologies. Previously, she assisted with research focused on the use of virtual reality simulation in the acquisition of student fire safety skills. Her other research interests include clinical judgment and intellectual humility in new graduate nurses and safe transition to clinical practice.
Community:
Dr. Duvall-Ingram is a lifelong Dallas resident, currently residing with her husband new White Rock Lake. She is an active member of the Church of the Incarnation and enjoys playing piano for the contemporary services. She is very involved in several medical ministries, including assisting with the Community Health Fair providing sports physicals each fall and serving as the Medical Team Coordinator for an annual mission trip to Honduras. Dr. Duvall-Ingram and her husband enjoy traveling, cooking, and walking at the lake.
