Teaching and Clinical Practice:
Dr. Feutz is the director of the DNP Programs and program coordinator for the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She provides leadership and oversight of the DNP programs. In her role as FNP Coordinator she provides leadership for the development and maintenance of student learning in the FNP program and provides student advisement. Her teaching responsibilities have included Advanced Health Assessment, FNP didactic Management, FNP Clinical Practicum, and DNP Project courses in the DNP-FNP program.
Dr. Feutz has been in continuous practice as a family nurse practitioner for over 25 years. She has provided primary health care to patients across the life span in a variety of clinical settings. Currently she is a volunteer family nurse practitioner at the Agape Clinic.
Committees/Organizations:
Dr. Feutz is an active member and chair of committees at Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Nationally, she is an active member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties and serves as a member of the annual conference committee, and the program director special interest group. She holds memberships in her local, state and national organizations: North Texas Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioner Organization, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Additionally she is a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
Scholarship & Publications:
Dr. Feutz’s DNP Project was “Cuidate: Implementation of Culturally Based Sexual Risk Reduction Program for Hispanic Adolescents”. This project was presented at the 2013 Midwestern Nursing Research Society’s Annual Research Conference. This was followed by poster presentations at the 2013 Ruth K Palmer Research Symposium, the University of Iowa’s 2013 20th National Evidence-Based Practice conference: Moving EBP Forward-It is Time, and the 2016 Annual Texas Nurse Practitioner Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
